The programme for 2010 will be released shortly. Please return to this website to check soon - it will likely start in April. All concerts are likely to be between 4.00 - 5.00pm on the last Sunday of each month, in St John's Church (tbc).

Sunday Afternoon Concert Series 2009

This successful series returned for 2009, starting in April, with the programme below:

• 28th June - Bach Master Works for Cello & Piano
  Cressida Nash & Jacquelyn Bevan
  Programme includes: Cello Suite No.1 in G major, Prelude & Fugue in B flat minor (Book I of 48), Prelude & Fugue in E flat major (Book II of 48), and Sonata for Cello & Piano No.2 in D major
  
  
• 26th July - The Romantic Violin
  Laurie Phippard & Jacquelyn Bevan
  Programme includes: Brahms: Sonata in A major, Massenet: Meditation from Thais and Dvorak: Four Romantic Pieces
  
  
• 16th August - Bach Master Works for Violin & Piano
  Programme includes: Partita No.2 in D minor for Solo Violin, Sonata in F minor BWV 1018 for Violin & Piano
  
  
• 23rd August - Lysandra String Quartet
  Programme includes: Mozart String Quartet K465, the 'Dissonance'
  
  
• 30th August - Ensemble Paradis
  Catherine Saunders (flute), Cressida Nash (cello) & Jacquelyn Bevan (piano)
  Programme includes: J S Bach: Flute Sonata in E major, Ravel: Pavane pour une Infante defunte and Schubert: slow movement from Piano Trio in B flat.
    
• 27th September - Maggio String Quartet
  Programme Includes: Popular Classics and Celtic Airs

Each concert will be followed by a home-made cream tea for which there is a small charge.
