Come out main entrance / booking hall, walk down the road straight ahead of the station keeping the Berni Hotel, and George Bayntuns booksellers on your right (hint: on the first section there is a large construction site on the left). Keep straight, going past the police station on your right, and past the public car park, then turn right into South Parade by the Taxi kiosk. You will see the tall spire of St John's from across the car park.

From the main concourse face away from the rank of buses, and look outward - you should see a single lane road (with some more bus stops to left and right) and various office type buildings across it ahead of you (hint: this is the opposite direction to the adjacent multistorey carpark). Once you reach the road, go across the pedestrian crossing, up the adjacent ramped path onto a dead-end road. Keep straight, going past offices of Future Publishing and the JobCentre on your right, and past Bath City Church / The Forum on your left. The road meets a major road, St James's Parade, opposite what is currently a large construction site (it used to be the SouthGate shopping centre), go to the right past Bath Property / Estate Agents premises, and cross at the 3-way junction. Proceed along the road ahead, Dorchester Street (hint: this is currently between two construction sites), towards the railway station.

At the next traffic lights (at the front of the railway station) turn left onto Manvers Street. From here you can follow the directions above for "from Bath Spa railway station".
