Parking Free parking is available during Mass & Confession times in two private church car parks; an smaller upper one at street level in front of the church (this is requested to be reserved for those infirm and of limited mobility); and a large main carpark behind & below the church - access this by the vehicle ramp beyond the church: drive to the far end of South Parade road (adjacent the river) and it is on the right.
From within Bath

from Bath Spa rail station:

Come out main entrance / booking hall, walk down the road straight ahead of the station keeping the Berni Hotel, and George Bayntuns booksellers on your right, and Debenhams department store on the left. Keep straight, going past the police station on your right, and past the public car park, then turn right into South Parade by the Taxi kiosk. You will see the tall spire of St John's from across the public car park.

From the main enclosed concourse face away from the rank of numbered bus gates, and look outward towards the adjacent main road (Dorchester Street) - you should see a two-way road (with more bus stops both sides) and opposite, a large shopping complex (SouthGate) clad in pale Bath stone with a Sainsburys Local store facing you.

Go to the right, past the pedestrian crossing / across the single lane bus exitway, towards the railway station.

At the next traffic lights (at the front of the railway station) turn left onto Manvers Street. From here you can follow the directions above for "from Bath Spa railway station".
